I’ll post a running update because I haven’t done one for a while, even though I run daily. The aim today was to run at an easy pace for maybe an hour and a half or so. I started at a local park, and after 2k, the pace felt too easy. So, I thought, what the heck, I’ll increase the pace a bit and turn it into a steady 10k run.
I don’t do much running at steady, because I’m training for an ultra 95% of my runs at an easy pace and longer distances. I felt comfortable and was happy with how I was moving. It’s good to do some speed work, even if long distance is your goal. Speed work improves form and helps make easy running more efficient. Anyway, I’ve posted a couple of pictures/data of the 10k run. Very happy with the time and pace, and according to my Garmin, I stayed in zone 4 – which I’m fine with.
After I finished my 10k, I had a walk for a minute or so, then took an easy 5k run home – to get some more distance in. Excuse the pictures’ quality, They do look blurring, it’s not my phone, it was actually raining a fair bit, I was drenched and could clean the phone screen properly.
